So far Marcus Evans' involvement with Ipswich Town appears to have been very beneficial for the club, bringing stability and financial investment that has enabled manager Jim Magilton to improve the squad to the point where hopefully they can challenge for promotion to the Premier League.

Can't stand them being involved with our club to be honest.

Used to work there and it's a horrible company that lies to clients, treats staff terribly, takes legal action against staff in their early 20s who earn just about minimum wage and then dare to leave the company and work for a competitor.

On a personal level I did well there but what I saw, heard and knew was shocking.

Marcus Evans is a Chelsea fan who attempted to buy Southampton before us. Ipswich in his words is "an extension of our brand" and a "commercial opportunity". Now if this brings success to Town then fair enough but when push comes to shove it's his business ahead of ITFC and that worries me.

PS - I know for a fact that no money actually changed hands for the sponsorship deal. ME may have put money in elsewhere but this was not a case of a large lot of money coming our way.

Well, give him a little break. As far as I know, Glazer's company name isn't Glazer. This dude actually calls his company Marcus Evans, so in that respect its no different than Emirates or Carlsberg or Gazprom and still, in my opinion better, than renaming the team Red Bull.

What a strange decision for an owner to make! You're right, I simply couldn't imagine United with Malcolm Glazer on their shirts.
